Our Story

The The Very Decent Cheese Co is based in Lisdoonvarna and was founded in 2012 by Abbie Nolan. Selling the cheeses and chutneys across the country that their family produces at their farm, they sell at local farmers markets and attend a variety of events such as the Good Food Shows, Chilli Festivals, and Country Shows.

They have a unique range of gift sets including customisable and set options. And also sell over 30 (!) different cheeses including classics like applesmoked, hot and spicy, plus unique and interesting flavours such as our Botanist Gin and Tonic Cheese. 

Awards & Accolades

Recently they have won the Small Business Sunday award, an initiative created by Theo Pathitis (from Dragon's Den) to promote small businesses.
